Itinerary

ISTANBUL - GAZIANTEP - HALFETI & BOAT TOUR - SANLIURFA-  ADIYAMAN - KAHTA - MT. NEMRUT- KAHRAMANMARAS - CAPPADOCIA- KONYA- BILECIK - DAILY ERTUGRUL TOUR - BURSA 

DAY 1 : ARRIVAL TO  ISTANBUL

(Lunch / Dinner)

Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport , you will be welcomed by your tour guide. Lunch at restaurant. Proceed with the Bosphorus Tour, which provides you with unique city views from this strait separating Europe and Asia. Dinner at Roof Mezze and proceed with shopping at the Grand Bazaar. Transfer and overnight in Centro Westside by Rotana.

DAY 2 : ISTANBUL

(Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

After an early breakfast, we will explore the Sultanahmet area. We will be visiting the Roman-era Hippodrome, Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque). Lunch at restaurant. Proceed to visit Topkapi Palace and its Harem Quarters, as well as the Hagia Sophia Museum. Dinner will be served at 360° Panorama Restaurant. Overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 3 : ISTANBUL - GAZIANTEP

After a heavy breakfast, check-out of hotel and transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Gaziantep on Turkish Airlines TK2222 at 1200hrs.

Upon arrival, we will have lunch. (Asina Restaurant or similar) Proceed to visit Zeugma Mosaic Museum. We then stroll through the streets of the old town replete with historic houses, a picturesque castle and delightful handicraft workshops in the Coppersmith Bazaar. Transfer to Tugcan Hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4  : GAZIANTEP - HALFETI & BOAT TOUR - SANLIURFA

After breakfast, check-out of hotel and drive to the town of Halfeti and embark on a boat tour on the Euphrates River, to see "the sunken city" of Halfeti − it dates back to the Ottoman period (19th C.) and is now partially-submerged.  Several of Halfeti’s structures remain underwater, including a mosque, school, bath (hamam) and other buildings. Lunch at restaurant.

Proceed to visit the center of the city − the Gölbasi area, a well-tended park where Sanliurfa's most important tourist attractions lie. The Sacred Fish Ponds (Balikli Göl) are surrounded by the beautiful Rizvaniye Vakfi Mosque and Medrese Complex on their north side, and the Halilur Rahman Mosque to their west. Dinner will be served at Altin Lokantasi. Overnight in Hilton Garden Inn Sanliurfa.

DAY 5  : SANLIURFA - ADIYAMAN - KAHTA - MT. NEMRUT

After breakfast, check-out of hotel and drive to Kahta, the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mt. Nemrut, a 2,000-meter-high burial mound (tumulus). The most striking (and most-photographed) images are of the headless statues of the gods Antiochus wished to pay tribute to; the damage to these statues is widely believed to have been caused by earthquakes. Lunch at restaurant. (Pasa Konagi Restaurant or similar)

Proceed to visit the Adiyaman Museum, where axes and drills from the Palaeolithic Age, vessels of the Chalcolithic Age and other relics of the Bronze Age are on display. Free time at leisure. Transfer to Hilton Garden Inn Adiyaman for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 : ADIYAMAN - KAHRAMANMARAS - CAPPADOCIA

As this will be a long day’s drive to Cappadocia, we leave Adiyaman early in the morning.   En route, we pass through the city of Kahramanmaras (Maras) and have a relaxing lunch along the way. It is in Maras where you’ll sample the world’s most interesting ice cream! (See Yasar Pastanesi Restaurant) Arrive at Best Western Premier Hotel in the evening.

DAY 7 : CAPPADOCIA FULL-DAY TOUR

Today, we begin discovering breathtaking Cappadocia, a region renowned for its awe-inspiring tufa rock formations. Along with specific sites mentioned in the following program, we’ll stop at many vantage points to enjoy the beautiful scenery around us, and, even better yet, walk through remote and colourful valleys to see more surprises. In addition, we’ll enjoy beautiful panoramic vistas of the Ortahisar Valley and visit the hidden homes and churches at the Goreme Open Air Museum, an entire city that dates to the late 9th century AD and nestled in steep cliffs. (Shop at Art by Emre!) Dinner will be served at Dibek Restaurant. Overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 8  : CAPPADOCIA - OPTIONAL HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE - KONYA

Gather at hotel lobby by 5AM and be transferred for an early morning, unforgettable hot-air balloon ride experience! After breakfast, check-out of hotel and drive to Konya. Lunch at restaurant. (Lokmahane Restaurant or similar) Proceed to visit Alaeddin Mosque (also spelled Alaettin), the largest and oldest mosque in Konya, constructed by the Seljuk Sultan of Rum in 1221.

For Muslims and non-Muslims alike, the main reason to come to Konya is to visit the Mevlâna Museum, the former lodge of the whirling dervishes and home to the tomb of Jalaluddin Rumi (later known as Mevlâna). With the opening of the Mevlânâ Cultural Center, Konya's Mevlevi dervishes and Rumi’s millions of admirers finally have a suitable place in which to celebrate Rumi’s message of love, tolerance and respect. Dinner at Duha Restaurant before we proceed to Kent Plaza Shopping Center for last minute shopping. Overnight in Hilton Garden Inn Konya.

DAY 9 : KONYA - SOGUT / BILECIK  -ERTUGRUL TOUR -  BURSA

Early in the morning and drive to Sogut area where everything started for Ottoman History. Sogut is the birthplace of Ottoman Empire .Being in Sogut is like a voyage in time machine and you will be amazed with the untouched beauty of the surroundings and nature. Especially thinking the fact that our great hero Ertugrul Ghazi had been in these places and walked here and now it is our turn to follow his footsteps . We will visit the tomb of Ertugrul Ghazi where he died in 1288 and lots of monuments which are tributed to him, scattered around the town. You will have free time here to take photos and even you can hire Alp 's or Hatuns ' clothes and take photos as well . We will also visit the Tomb of Sheikh Edebali who was the mentor of Ertugrul Ghazi and considered as spiritual founder of Ottoman Empire . We also visit Orhangazi Mosque which is the first Ottoman Mosque with a lead dome built in 1392 .After Sogut we will continue to Inegol where we will visit the tomb of Turgut Alp who was one of the greatest of warriors and a very close confidant of Ertugrul Ghazi and later his successor, Osman I. He ruled the area for 36 years and buried in Inegol as well.

After Inegol we will continue to Bursa City, dinner and overnight in Gold Majesty hotel in Bursa.

DAY 10 : BURSA CITY TOUR - OSMAN & ORHAN GHAZI TOMBS - MT.ULUDAG - RETURN ISTANBUL BACK

Proceed for city tour of Bursa which was the first capital of Ottoman Empire. We will visit Tophane area , where Osman Ghazi and Orhan Ghazi, the founders of the Ottoman dynasty, were laid for their final rest in two ancient Byzantine structures, which underwent drastic alteration or were even completely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1855. The tour ends by visiting Bursa Grand Mosque; built in the Seljuk style, it was ordered by the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I and built between 1396 and 1399. Then, we'll climb Uludag ( Mt. Uludag ) with cable car ( if weather not allows with bus ) Optional skiing activities available in the spot ( usually skiing is possible between November - March ). After the visits we will start to journey back to Istanbul via Osmangazi Bridge . Check in to Istanbul hotel.

DAY 11 :ISTANBUL - DEPARTURE

Gule gule! Farewell! Today, we begin our journey back home. After a heavy breakfast, free time at leisure before check-out . Transfer to airport.
